The REIACC takes complaints of any nature very seriously and each incident is investigated thoroughly to ensure accuracy of information and fair treatment of all parties involved.
While an REIA is under investigation for a complain, he or she may continue to conduct business and accept new clients as per the REIA code of conduct and ethics. Any REIA found to be in violation of the code of conduct or ethics, will receive disciplinary action by the REIACC which may include, but is not limited to:
Financial penalty - Fines
Revocation of the REIA Certificate
Other disciplinary actions
In cases of suspension or revocation of certification, the REIA may submit an appeal which will be reviewed by the board of directors.
